Call For Applications: Edmund Arthur Graduate School Application Support Fund 2023
The Department of Optometry and Visual Science in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) invites applications from all qualified and highly motivated students who wish to be considered for Edmund Arthur Graduate School Application Support Fund 2023.
Background
The Edmund Arthur Graduate School Application Scholarship Fund is an initiative of Dr. Edmund Arthur, an alumnus of the Department of Optometry and Visual Science at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. The goal of this scholarship is to:
(i) Increase interest in graduate school education in the Vision Sciences and in turn grow and improve the reputation of Optometric education/practice in Ghana.
(ii) Support brilliant but financially challenged optometry students, who are interested and are likely to succeed in graduate school in the Vision Sciences in the United States.
Eligibility Criteria:
(i) Must be a student or intern in the Department of Optometry and Visual Science in KNUST.
(ii) Must be willing to study in a Graduate Vision Science program in the United States.
The scholarship fund will cover the following:
1. Application fees for two universities
2. SEVIS fees
3. F1 Visa fees
Available Scholarship: Three (3)
Applications should include:
1. A cover letter
2. The applicant’s CV
3. Academic transcripts
4. GRE Scores (if needed by the specific school of interest)
5. English language proficiency test scores (if needed by the specific school of interest)
6. Personal statement for graduate school application
Application process
The application process is in two folds (online and offline) and each MUST be completed separately.
