Samson Darrah Selected as A Member of The Ghana Youth Task Team of The Africa Youth Partnership

Samson Darrah, a fifth-year Doctor of Optometry student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has been selected as a member of the Ghana Youth Task Team of the Africa Youth Partnership to advocate for an equitable recovery from the global COVID-19 pandemic. He is one of the twenty members selected nationwide for this committee.

With training, coaching and other technical and financial support throughout 2022, Youth Task Team members will prepare youth accountability reports, policy briefs and other products that capture the youth position on key recovery programmes, and spearhead national campaigns to advocate for youth position.

Restless Development and YOTA (Youth Opportunity & Transformation in Africa) with funding from the Ford Foundation launched the Africa Youth Partnership as a platform for engaging, supporting and empowering young people to put their ideas into action and to play a leading role in continental efforts for an equitable recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, the focus of the program will be on only ten African countries: Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
