Held at the esteemed Allotey Auditorium of the College of Science, KNUST, the event aimed to shed light on the theme of "Nurturing Dreams in KNUST."
The program commenced at 10:30 am and boasted an impressive lineup of speakers, including Mr. Otieku-Boadu Patrick, a Heartmath certified trainer, and Ms. Dione Adofo, an Optometrist and Founder of SHE IS STEM UK.
During her address, Ms. Adofo shared her journey to becoming an optometrist, citing reasons such as the professional prestige associated with the field in the United Kingdom and her passion for providing care to others. Drawing comparisons between optometry practices in Ghana and the UK, Ms. Adofo emphasized factors like working hours and earning potential, noting significant disparities between the two contexts. Additionally, she highlighted her personal initiative, SHE IS STEM (SIS), aimed at empowering women in STEM fields.

He underscored the importance of prioritizing patient care and fostering a client-centric approach. Drawing parallels between academic excellence and professional conduct, Otieku-Boadu stressed the need for optometrists to prioritize patient satisfaction and address their needs comprehensively.
